Averi has had multiple roles in compliance and legal positions. She has an in-depth understanding of pharmaceutical development, deal-making, and commercial operations with experience handling multiple, conflicting priorities in fast-paced environments. She currently is VP, Chief Compliance and Legal Officer at Syndax Pharmaceuticals where she is designing and implementing the company’s first compliance program and providing leadership as the company transforms from an R&D organization to a commercial organization.

She helped found RIGT because she believes people with gender dysphoria deserve to be able to live as their authentic selves and that developing effective treatment options is crucial. She also has family members who are transgender.

Averi holds a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in Philosophy from the University of Chicago and a JD from the University of Michigan School of Law.
